Workers:

• Understand and follow health and safety requirements.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) as prescribed.
• Cover floor openings securely, use fall protection and report fall hazards to your supervisor.
• Ensure all vehicles, tools and equipment operated as per manufacturers’ instructions.
• Reduce risk of back injury by using suitable lifting devices and equipment to move materials safely.
• Comply with duties under Occupational Health and Safety Act and applicable regulations.

Constructors / Employers:

• Provide ALL workers with appropriate training, information, instruction and supervision.
• Establish and maintain comprehensive occupational health and safety program.
• Ensure removal of garbage and debris from work areas as often as is needed to prevent hazards.
• Ensure safe use and proper maintenance of equipment, materials and protective devices.
• Take immediate action when informed of potentially hazardous situations.
• Ensure everyone on site is age 16 or older.
• Comply with duties under Occupational Health and Safety Act and applicable regulations.
